This is a small sample of some of my paintings and sketches. I have a love-hate relationship with my paintings but I still feel that I can express myself better through art than with any language. The style of my paintings is in a constant state of change. I don’t know why but the style keeps changing on me. In contrast, my sketches have a more constant rhythm to them. Not sure why either. I really like sketching and I think some of my best works are actually sketches that I can’t really duplicate in a painting or in another media. I guess they get impregnated with the feeling of the moment, something irreplaceable. I owe this bad habit of sketching to Cam who inspires me and to my friend Chico who encourages me to sketch when he visits from Brazil.
